Gili Islands

Besides Bali, many tourists also visit the Gili Islands in Lombok. In fact, the Gili Islands is considered as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Indonesia. In here, you will be able to see many beautiful beaches and diving in them.

You can also go snorkeling at a turtle sanctuary. Besides snorkeling with turtles, you can also see hundreds of turtles hatching in the turtle hatchery. Also, you can go kayaking and join a yoga class to relax your mind after a full day of adventuring.

Komodo National Park

Another adventurous place that you can visit is the Komodo National Park. This is the place where you can see Komodo dragons. Komodo dragons are known as deadly animals. This Komodo National Park includes five main islands along with several smaller ones.

Sacred Monkey Forest

The next Indonesia Tourism Destination which you can visit is the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud, Bali. As you all know, Ubud is the center of Bali culture. In Ubud, you will be able to find Sacred Monkey Forest which is a peaceful place.

You will also be able to find many long-tailed macaques roaming around the forest and the temple. This forest is also located near Padangtegal which is a small and quiet village of various artists. 

Mount Bromo

Lake Toba

If you like to go to beaches, you will also love Lake Toba. Lake Toba was formed between 69,000 and 77,000 years ago and believed to be the result of an eruption. This lake is around 1,145 square kilometers and 450 meters deep.

Fun fact: the volcanic activity is still reportedly occurring in Lake Toba hence making some islands pushed above the surface. In Lake Toba, you can go swimming, canoeing, fishing, water skiing, or just walking around the lake on foot or bike. 

Tana Toraja

Tana Toraja is located in South Sulawesi. This is the place where you can see all of the richness and diversity of Indonesia’s long-standing culture. You will see the architectural style of Tongkonan and boat-shaped houses. The people in Tana Toraja are the friendliest and most welcoming people. One of the famous culture in Tana Toraja is the death ceremony. The ceremony involves plenty of food and traditional dance. The dead are buried in graves that are built into surrounding caves.

Pura Tanah Lot

Besides Sacred Monkey Forest, you can also visit Pura Tanah Lot in Bali. Pura Tanah Lot is one of the most famous temples in Bali that and built with group of rocks in the sea. Many tourists come here to see the beautiful and heavenly view of the sunset.

You can only go to the temple when the tide is low. Besides visiting the temple, you can also go to Tanah Lot Market to purchase some Balinese souvenirs.

Banda Islands

We all know that Bali and Lombok are indeed the most popular vacation spots; however, the Banda Islands can also rival the beauty of Bali and Lombok.
